Have you ever wondered what happens when you get an order from UltiPrint? going all the way from the design process to the finished product? We thought that we’d tell you the story of our new company uniforms so you can be more confident in the service we provide.
It all starts when you send us your company logo for us to embroider, at this stage, we would provide a quote based on what specific services and items you require. This ranges from the base item you would like the design printed to, be it shirts, hoodies or hi-vis jackets. To the specifics of the project, company name? Telephone number? Address? All of these can be included in the design and on your item, and all play a part in the decision-making and quote that takes place prior to anything else.
Obviously however in this case we already knew what we wanted for our logo, so we could skip straight to the second stage of the process: Digitizing.
Digitizing is the term used in professional embroidery, that simply means taking an image file that you send us, be it a PNG, JPEG or anything else, and creating a set of instructions in specialist software so that our embroidery machines will know exactly how to physically recreate your design.
The next step is to take this design over to our embroidery machines, at UltiPrint, we achieve this with a dedicated server that we use to store all of our important documents and designs. This server allows us to not only share files between all of our different equipment and computers but also ensures that we have a constant backup for extra security and insurance that our customer’s documents will remain safe.
The design is then scanned into the machine using a proprietary system of barcodes designed specifically for our workflow, and our embroidery technician ensures by hand that the position of the clothing is correct and ready to transfer the design to the clothing.
We then begin the process of putting thread to fabric, with our machine able to switch mid-design between 16 different colours without having to pause, and being able to embroider 6 different items of clothing at one time, this process is fast yet efficient and yields results of the highest quality available
Once the process is complete, we have a final quality check of each item of clothing that includes the trimming of excess thread and ensuring the longevity of the design by checking each thread for tension & stability.
After quality control, this is when we would normally pack and ship your order, with a dedicated station in our workshop for processing, packaging and sending orders. However, this is the story of specifically our new uniforms, so there is no need for shipping and posting, the only thing left to do is a photo that shows the world the undeniable quality of our process.
